LSBHR is an independent all volunteer non-profit organization based in the Houston, Texas. We are the first, and oldest, Basset Hound Rescue established in the Houston area.We are devoted to saving the homeless bassets of the Houston area.

 Because we are an independent non-profit organization, we are funded solely on the generous donations of basset lovin' folk. Your donations are much needed and much appreciated.

 All donations go towards the expensive medical care of our bassets. The majority of the bassets that come to us are heartworm positive, need to be spayed or neutered, require vaccinations, ear cleaning, a heartworm test, fecal exam for intestinal parasites, an office visit, and various other treatments (cherry eye removal, tumor removal, mange treatment, etc) which all have their varying costs.

 Our veterinarians have generously given us a reduced cost on medical care, but it is still quite expensive. Each basset is averaging $400 - $600 worth of treatment. Our adoption fee does not cover even half of what we are spending. That is where you come in!

 You can help by sending us a tax deductible donation. You can also shop on-line through our affiliates who will give us a percentage of each sale. You can also join the LSBHR Family by filling out the membership form and submitting the annual $25 fee. You can help us safe the lives of many of the homeless basset in the Houston area.
