Welcome Basset Lovers

Lone Star Basset Hound Rescue is a non-profit organization that depends entirely on volunteer work and donations. Our mission is to help homeless or abandoned Basset Hounds in the Greater Houston Area find "forever" homes and reduce the number of abandoned Basset Hounds through public education. As much as we'd like to immediately accept every Basset Hound into the organization, we depend on volunteer Foster Families and cannot accept more than we can foster. Our first priority must be the Bassets whose time is up at the local animal shelters. They require our immediate attention to save their lives. If you are interested in contributing in any way at all, please contact us!  We'd love to hear from you! WE ARE CURRENTLY TRYING TO UPDATE AND CHANGE OUR WEBSITE. WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE!
