My Story Spanky is a 1.5 yr old male who was found in San Antonio. He was picked up and rescued by one of our previous adopters! He is a VERY playful boy and would do best in a home with children 5 years of age and older. Spanky is neutered, up to date on all shots, and heartworm negative so he is ready for adoption TODAY!
May 13, 2006 - Foster Home Update Spanky has settled in with my three dogs wonderfully - he runs, plays, and wrestles with the husky and puggle, while he curls up and naps with my basset girl. He is fairly energetic as bassets go and will do best in a home where he gets daily exercise to run off a little steam. Once he is done playing in the yard or with his toys inside, he loves to sit on your lap and snuggle. He is very lovey-dovey and bonds quickly with people and other dogs (I don't have any cats, so I'm not sure how he'll do there). He has not displayed any destructive or aggressive behavior in my home, and appears to be housebroken. True to his basset lineage, Spanky will let you know when he's feeling playful or excited about something with a deep, loud bark - always something to keep in mind if you share a wall or two with neighbors.
