My Story

Rosco was an owner turn in, with his sister Daisy Mae. He is 4.5 yrs old, tri-colored, and ready for adoption today. He can be adopted alone or as a bonded pair with his sister. He is great woth children and crate trained. He would make an excellent pet. Won't you give this guy a chance at a new and wonderful life.

 Foster Home Update: 02/16/06

Rosco is a big dark male with ENORMOUS feet. Really, he has the biggest feet I have ever seen on a basset. He also has the basset smile. He is a tricolor with a mostly black blanket with a few white snowflakes along his spine. He will be a little shy when he first comes to his forever home, but it won't take him but a few days to find out who gives the best ear scratches and who knows how to make a basset feel like he is loved most of all. Rosco would like to find a home where he can be allowed on the couch, and he would like a nice doggy bed to sleep on.

Foster Home Update:  03/15/2006

Rosco reminds me of a diplomat, he is very serious and thoughtful. He will give up his pillow to his sister Daisy (also available for
adoption), in favor of getting a nice tummy rub while the family watches TV. He is an average sized basset, with the BIGGEST feet you have ever seen. If there is a biggest feet category at the Basset Mosey this year, Rosco will win, feet down... He is very well-mannered and house-trained. He came to us with horrible long toenails, but he is great about letting me trim them, so they are getting into much better shape. The only thing he needs to work on is being a bit more polite about doggie treats, because he feels like he needs to wolf them down. One of the cutest things Rosco does is sleep, because he almost always covers his eyes with his long, soft ears - it's handy to have black-out curtains wherever you go!
