My Story

Daisy Mae is a very pretty 4.5 yr old female, tri-colored. She was turned into us, along with her brother Rosco #2. She is very sweet, good with dogs and children. She is healthy and ready for adoption today. She can be adopted alone, or as a bonded pair with her brother.

 Foster Home Update: 02/15/2006

Daisy is Rosco's sister. She is smaller (and fatter!). She needs to be careful of her diet and is trying to get regulaar exercise (she loves to play Chase the Collie Puppy around the Woodshed which is already slimming her down). She has the loveliest red head and white muzzle - and will be happy to show you that her ears are like velvet. On one side she is mostly black and one side she has a perfect black circle. Her feet have red freckles and her back has black freckles. She would love to be a lap-basset and watch TV with you. Her legs are short (and her tummy big), so she may not be able to get on your couch, but she will curl up right around your feet and a boost on the couch would be just fine with her.

Foster Home Update: 03/15/2006

Daisy is one of the sweetest bassets we have ever fostered and
can get along with everyone. She loves to play and would like to have a companion dog (her brother is available for adoption, too!), and every now and then likes to the be the Wild Thing and race around the house with ears flying (although she has very short legs and can't race very fast). Miss Daisy has taken over of the dog beds, and thinks it would be a good idea for her forever home to make sure there is a nice pillow for her to sleep on. She has slimmed down a lot (came to us a little porky!), and is definitely house-trained.
